The ASG is dedicated to the discussion of Aetherometry, of its body of
theoretical and experimental work, of its scientific and philosophical tools
and their implications to Life, society, knowledge and art. The core
objective of ISFA lists is to form aetherometrists who can gauge the value
of the novel methodologies and techniques of Aetherometry, as well as their
social and emotional impact. The list is by no means limited to
aetherometric science, though that is its intended focus. Its first step is
to lay the ground work for a community of researchers and thinkers able to
make an interdisciplinary effort to 'think through science'. Without
flexibility of mind, there is no hope for an open spirit and even less of
forming aetherometrists.
Members are encouraged to present questions, commentaries, analytic forays
and applications pertaining to the published work of Experimental and
Theoretical Aetherometry, and to be as systematic and methodic as they wish to.
Members are also invited to make comparisons and contrasts with other
theories of the Aether, other systematizations of biophysics and other
models of thought. Of particular interest are the Aether theories of Tesla,
Reich and Aspden, the thermodynamic approaches of Szent-Gyorgi, Prigogine,
Chaology and Bearden, the morphogenetic models and developmental theories of
Waddington, Thom and Zeeman, the work in molecular genetics and biochemistry
of Luria, Lehninger, Monod, Jacobs, the problem of lamarckism and the
biopoietic models (Fox, Orgel, Watson, Gilbert, Cairns, Hall, etc), the
molecular biology of growth-factors and the relation between
myeloproliferative disorders, hematopoiesis and cancer (eg Axelrad), the
philosophical systems of Spinoza, Nietzsche, Bergson and Deleuze. Contrast
with ZPE (Einstein, Dirac, Whittaker) and neo-ZPE (Puthof, Haisch) theories
is also most welcome. Members are equally encouraged to post news of
scientific breakthroughs or other important events with their commentaries.
With respect to topics, the moderators will endeavour to make the list's
amplitude as wide as possible.
Members are equally encouraged to keep all discussions and disagreements in
good spirit. The ASG and other ISFA lists, though moderated, are intent on
respecting the widest possible interpretation of free speech. Though
unencouraged, ad hominems are permitted - provided there is at least some
art in their utterance. Undoubtedly, in the heat of the moment, arguments
and disagreements may always occur. ISFA lists are not the place to vent
this heat, but neither is the intended function of the moderators to repress
it. It is rather the responsibility of the members to self-regulate their
utterances and give them some care - enough that they can be enjoyed by all
even in disagreement.
In time, if specific topics retain a constant interest, separate lists may
be made to branch from ASG.
This list is not designed to function as a replacement for getting familiar
with Aetherometry. If you have been accepted as a participant, it is
because you are already familiar with a major part of the material being
discussed.
